MY STORY
My family and I moved from Plano to Lucas 14 years ago in order to experience our dream of having our horses in our backyard. We enjoy the feel of a small community with premier school districts and the ability to have our own space to enjoy life outdoors while still having the conveniences of shopping and restaurants nearby. These very reasons inspired my candidacy for City Council. My goal is to help preserve the unique quality of life in Lucas that includes large lots, horse and animal friendly neighborhoods, and a sense of openness with tree lined streets. I enjoy living in this community and want to ensure that Lucas will continue to be the Lucas that we have come to love.
MY EXPERIENCE
I have a background in business, receiving my BBA from Southern Methodist University, and have worked in consumer goods sales for over 25 years. I own and operate a local small business, High-5 Sports & Logos, and have extensive experience with planning, budgeting, and resource management. In 2014, I began serving on the Lucas Board of Adjustments and in 2021, I moved to the Planning and Zoning Commission. The Planning and Zoning (P&Z) Commission is responsible for reviewing rezoning applications, subdivision plats, site plans, and development plans. As a member of the P&Z Commission, I have been a strong proponent of the city’s Comprehensive Plan, which defines the growth and development of the city, and have worked to update the plan while upholding its key components.
